I'm ashamed to admit, that I forgot about this important day this year, which is precisely why we must continue to have it. It can be difficult to remember when our lives are so full of other little things, insignificant in relation to such big picture issues as violence against women and children. So it came to be that earlier this week, planning my blog post, I somehow remained oblivious to the importance of this day. It is all too easy to forget, and this is why we have days to remember. Just a note from a seriously regrounded feminist.
