Hook & Eye 
It is important to be aware of sexist practices in the workplace so we can work to change them, but it is equally if not more important to talk about the positive side in order to encourage it. Do you ever run similar stories of male academics being helpful and respectful to their female colleagues? Of being their mentors or being mentored by them? I know it happens and it would be nice to see that so the academic world doesn't seen so grim.
